   Gotta say man.....I just don't like "cat people", and it grosses me out seeing how weirdly charged the slavs are about cats. A GC I'm in got pissy with me because they forwarded some fag's "booohooo mister sprinkles rest in peace my cat died" thread to all as if we'd care to waste my mental bandwidth on that, or give a shit about some nerd's stray. It spilit the bunch, half of us are like "why are you pinging us for this, this is gay" and the other half are whining that we're "heartless assholes". Seems very unbecoming for a supposed group of men.

   It reminds me of how weird both sides of the ukraine thing are about cats, too. Sure, cute cat videos have SOME modest value, on the timeline but these people just go way, way too far with it. I know there's a whole vocabulary for russian cat fans, but is there one for a "male cat lady"? Because a lot of them have that same vibe.

   I won't sit here and listen to the frumpy woman behind the counter trying to show me pics of her gay cat costumes for halloween, and I won't suddenly want to hear the same even if it's coming from a slavic femboy in camo pants just because he likes guns

     It's just so weird seeing accounts that are pure 100% liberal cat-spinster posts but all their trappings are eco-fascist kazynzkian paramilitarian.

     @givenup I don't love them, but I'd like a nice one. Those are a little too rare though, so I'm like 70% ambivalent towards them and 30% distasteful

     I'm more bothered by male cat ladies, because nobody seems to believe they exist. Also guys w/ parrots, they're weird and gay too

     I think your perception may be colored by tiktok fags. I've met one parrot guy and he was a nice old man, but those stupid bird videos of them breaking shit are everywhere because the owners want attention, and they realize the cat/dog video market is oversaturated.
     
     Also male cat ladies are called "cat dads" because these poor millennials never had kids.

     @veff @givenup I once worked w/ a few parrot people. It's cute in small doses but being on the roster of 10-minute training video so the bird can quote darth vader is way too much for me
