The problem with getting an open ended assignment like "make a presentation on a project you did" is the real question is, how stupid do I get with it?
Because unfortunately I'm me and there's a lot of range of possible stupid.

Would this help me get the job? Probably not.
Would it be fun? Yes!
I'm tempted to show up to the presentation with a 486 laptop (with rebuilt battery pack), running NT4 and PowerPoint 4, using a Sony TV remote as a clicker, through an arduino IR-to-PS/2 bridge I'd have to build.
Do I realistically have time to do all this shit?
Absolutely not!
I'm gonna have to compromise and just use a ThinkPad running a VM
@foone the most enjoyable part is when it worked perfectly at home with every permutation of equipment, and then it won't display on their aliexpress projector
@vga256 "what, you guys don't have EGA support in your projector?! No worries, I've got a converted overhead projector in my car. I'll be right back"
@foone I once showed up at an interview for a Mac engineer and I carried a fully-functional Apple Newton for taking notes. I like to think it did help me get the job.
@mikailborg nice!
