This also reminds me why eccentric people who have threads on Kiwi Farms hate it so much. All they do is archive and catalogue + discuss their public posts.

They seethe just at that fact that they tried to take down the site multiple times.

Twitter and clones such as Mastodon and Pleroma are public soapboxes. It's the digital equivalent of your own platform, your own stage, your own pulpit, your own nationally syndicated talk show. An as:Public collector is the equivalent of standing in the crowd and writing down what is said. There's nothing private about it. Therefore there's nothing perverse, titillating, or otherwise exciting or unusual by watching. I can't imagine somebody who would shout into a bullhorn as loud as they can and then get upset when someone in the apartment building across the street writes it down. I've noticed that pretty much the only strategy by antiscrapers is just to appeal to some concept that is already looked down upon as bad; Putin, voyeurism, etc., and then both my tool and social media itself are contorted to fit this narrative.

  @coin I have an ED article. It's less than flattering. It's less than accurate.
  I consider that the ticket price for the dozens of hours of literal rolling-on-the-floor entertainment I've gotten from the rest of ED.
