“Why do they keep trying to get us to come back? Don’t they know it’s just going to make people quit?“ Turns out, yes actually, it was the point.

@WoodFren @thefinn I'm always amazed when I talk to people and explain how various businesses (meatpacking plants in the 70's come to mind) and tell them how they paid excellent wages and yet somehow amazingly made a tidy profit but one day they decided they wanted more money so they fucked over their workers and without fail whoever i'm talking to will begin bleating about free markets and ask me if I really think the CEO shouldn't be able to buy that 22nd vacation home in Gstaad?

Ironically, leftists are closer to the truth and reality in a lot of ways than conservatives. Getting paid a good salary for honest work is actually a good and possible thing and CEOs being able to purchase fleets of submarines is not.
Especially now that conservatives basically just also believe in whatever social issues the left is pushing minus 5 years.

@WoodFren And we're to believe there's a "worker shortage" while they do this.

“We have a worker shortage“ is business for “we have a shortage of slave wage Indians, but we’re working to remedy it.”
