     @merchantHelios I just saw some of this "western" art and it freaks me out, feels so much seedier for some reason. It's like the art died off 20 years ago, and nobody can recreate the spirit of it . The only piece I like is that spider cover of cambell's from like, 2004

     The last time western comics were good was when Heavy Metal magazine was at it's peak (I'm not checking to see if it's still in circulation I don't want to know how gay it's become)

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @merchantHelios Like the 1950s nostalgia stuff it can't help but look fake. Western art needs to leave behind comic book nonsense, that time has come and gone and it's holding something new from coming about.

     @wgiwf @merchantHelios I think the modern guys don't love women the same way, but I'm not sure how to really point that out when comparing 1:1. Frazetta had some good takes on drawing women, I'd bet everyone now has been coomer rotted so hard they can't think of women in any proper, lovable way now

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @merchantHelios That, and also it's like those pics are just copies of copies, just drawing another Marvel comic book heroine but Asuka this time. Nothing original or personal about the drawing itself, all it says is: "Look at this, I'm a comic book nerd, lol. I made Asuka less problematic."
