     @matty I had a tiff with the boomers today because they were happy to see some gay twitter posting where guys were working their ass off for no reason

     I pointed out that it only makes them feel good, but it makes the mil life look like hell to prospective signups. They said that's a feature, not a bug, because "we don't want people who aren't willing to work"

     I'm sure plenty of kids look at those potato peeling, toilet cleaning, cosmolining jobs with stars in their eyes to make their step-grandpa proud

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @matty The military can't recruit young people because most young people aren't even White anymore and have no feeling of allegiance or duty to the USA. The White kids are all alienated from the USA because the government and society in general openly hates them. And commercials don't even make serving look glorious or exciting anymore.

     @john_rando @matty They don't get that, they think showing off how shitty of a slog it is to join up will motivate kids, because it makes them feel good gloating about how hard it was in their day
