     @DW2 I've seen various estimates. Its certainly above 100K probably more than 150K at this point. Its alleged that a CNN reporter accidentally said 250K. All I know is that in Bakhmut alone they have have suffered tens of thousands of casualties in the last few months somewhere between 30-50K.
     
     They had plans for a "counter offensive" this spring which now looks unlikely given the fact they bet it all on defending the "small, strategically insignificant" city of Bakhmut.

     @DW2 I think at least on paper their plan is to blow up key bridges that connect to Crimea thus cutting off the Russian forces. This type of scenario is why the Russians had to abandon Kherson.

     @Terry Sure, but Crimea has to be one of the most militarily fortified places on earth. If Ukraine couldn't overrun the Russian fortifications in Kherson, I don't see how their gonna do it in Crimea.
     
     Supposedly they're holding back their best reserves (40-50K troops iirc) for a spring counteroffensive. If that fails, it's probably over for the hohols.
