     @McMongoose "irregular at magic school" or something. The story is this WMD kid whose brain was scrambled to ensure he can't get angry enough to use his WMD powers, they bio engineered a "sister" and programmed him to "love" her so she can control his activation sequence

     I just like it because it's set 100 years in the future and they have the social mores of my great grandparents' era. They make reference to the "before times when people's morals were in tatters", so it's actually postapocalyptic fiction where women care about wearing cute, modest clothes and ensuring every date is chaperoned

     @Victor_Emmanuel @McMongoose IDK I read some of the books, they allude to them both being related embryos but they're all engineered or something. The one milf says they engineered her as a breedable counterpart

     It's fetish shit, but.....well I can't figure it out other than japanese readers are broken and they can't imagine deep love unless it's established by some lasting mechanism outside their control.

     @marlin @McMongoose Nope. Even in the books they get as far as having them announce an engagement between them so that miyuki can take power, and it's immediately protested by all the other noble families

     the one redheaded kid family wants to let him have her, but she'd be the head of the most dangerous family so everyone's panicking that a strategic class mofo has totally wrecked the balance of power right when they're about to war with the chinks again. The others want the WMD boy's stud genes, not sure where the story goes from there

     He literally can't be horny, in his POV he's always thinking "aww, I'll play along, it makes her happy". They scrambled his brain too much to get a boner

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @McMongoose Even if they were from the same embryo the engineering has made them not siblings. But my rule for incest in media is ”it only incest if they draw attention to it”. ie Eren x Mikasa isn’t incest because the show doesn’t point out that Mikasa was adopted by the Jagers. So in this instance it’s incest even if irl it wouldn’t be.

     @Victor_Emmanuel @McMongoose Seems like a palliative distinction though. IDK what they're going to do in the story, it doesn't seem like it would be fulfilling either way they run it. He's been lbotomized, he can only barely feel things, they tried to make sure she's the only one he "loves" but even so he seems to have the same affection for her like a pet dog.

     ICR how the thing works though, they said they destroyed part of his brain reformatting it for his WMD magic, and were so worried he'd destroy the world in a rage they got rid of all the strong emotions, positive and negative. But she's got a part of hers that's paired to his, or something, she's got a third of her brain power devoted to sealing his capabilities, so she has to approve it every time he fires. Not sure if they can make him a whole, real person. Seems like his creators (mother kidnapped, raped by chinks and aunt who hated the world for allowing it to happen) actually WANT him to kick over the table, so they might bring him back just to watch him nuke the world

     It's cool how he does it though, he links his mind to a satellite, pics an atom, and then cracks it for a limited nuke
