I'm not bullshiting when I say college isn't enough btw. It's not about not enough training or any of that shit. We get plenty of training. The problem is bad vetting and corrupt precincts forming good old boys clubs.
Half of the class I was in during academy didn't know the difference between murder 1st and murder 2nd, or what constituted as manslaughter, and they've all been to college.
This isn't an issue you can fix by throwing more training into our laps. People are dumber now than they have ever been, and police are people so they are included in that statistic.

Companies tried to get around this by requiring a college degree but by making it so easy to get one puts us back at square one
I think there might be a problem with private security poaching the best ones
The best of the best will probably go work with a security firm where the pay is better and comparatively lower risk both physically and politically
