     @Moon @GossiTheDog I don't know if it does or not, but you can also use Rufus to strip out the account requirement on first setup if you're flashing your own installation media

     Weird. I've heard you can also start a terminal and bypass it. I still haven't installed Windows 11 on anything; don't intent to.

     Just stay away from the non free repos if you want to keep those back doors limited. If you want to be safe and still use a Debian based distro you can try Pure OS or Trisquel. Pure OS is based off straight Debian and Trisquel is based off Ubuntu. Both are FSF approved.
