     Cancer sucks. We lost an incredible human yesterday. Stacey was a dear “pocket friend”, part of my early circle of internet knitters, who I came to know as a force of nature: so kind, so fierce, so thoughtful, so determined, so strong, so open. I’m so glad to have known her, and so heartbroken for her sons and her spouse and everyone who loves her.

     In one of Stacey’s greatest gifts to this world (she offered too many to list), she shared what for her was a terrifying close call in which her young son was buried alive in sand at the beach. I think if this post often, have shared this post many times, and it’s why I fill holes at beaches.
