   Just watched Mean Girls the film of the musical and… wow. I’d put it up there with Hair. I hadn’t realised the musical was so good but also the film adaptation is just a modern masterclass in how to do a musical justice in film.

   Keeping my fingers crossed for Wicked.

     @aral Oooh, I'd avoided that because of the usual inversely proportionate quality of adaptation inception.
     Grabbing it now! Just what I need to take my mind off the epic amount of money I've spent on wildly impractical clothing today 🤣

     @LinuxAndYarn Yeah, and then there’s Little Shop of Horrors which, well… perfection :) (And I think I read somewhere that they shot the whole thing in a week or something.)

     @aral Haven't convinced my wife to watch it yet, but this is high praise! Hair and Chicago are the best musical films IMO. Rent is good too but it owes so much to Hair in terms of films structure.
