     @Saxophone3784 I tried ZoneMinder for very briefly but then I ended up using something much simpler because it was a temporary single-camera setup.

     @Saxophone3784 apparently there's also Shinobi and Frigate. People say ZoneMinder is "antiquated", which jives with my experience. Feels like early 2000 server software, a million little script files as opposed to a more monolithic design.
