@RustyCrab @Binkle "FRICTION could be here" he thought, "I've never used this ide before. There could be FRICTION anywhere." The monitor's glow felt good against his bare chest. "I HATE FRICTION" he thought. Sweet Dreams are Made of These reverberated his entire workspace, making it shake even as the $9 monster circulated through his powerful thick veins and washed away his (merited) fear of missing quality of life features. "With vim, you can program anything you want" he said to himself, out loud. likes this. -

@Binkle FRICTION. Every day I use it and its FRICTION. No sane settings editor for no discernable reason. Constant notifications turned on by default to the point that they resemble popup ads. Its premier vim plugin SUCKS ASS STILL. AND THE PLUGINS CONSTANTLY BREAK.
Vscode is missing QoL and *care*. You can just feel that the people who are developing it aren't actually using it. Go use anything from jetbrains or even the default linux text editor. THEY DON'T HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. Stuff like vim and emacs are hard to get into but the people who create them really love them. I'm constantly learning about their QoL features and saying "wow holy shit that is a better way to do things" instead of "what fucking :manjaro:IGGER designed this" -
