You referred to it as ancient, but you also said the Nazis got embroiled in it AFTER they took power, when they openly pointed to jews as being the cause of many of the problems in Weimar well before attaining power. Are you denying that wealthy jews were exploiting the German people or promoting that decadence under Weimar, because you certainly omitted it and implied that the Nazi's hatred of jews was a seperate issue from the Weimar decadence that they were rallying against.
I'm talking about real historians, such as John Lukacs-not autists on the fediverse. I don't even agree with it. I think the Nazis were fascist, too, but they were absolutely outliers within fascism and the primary reason why they are the ones synonymous with fascism is because most people don't know jack shit about any other fascist nation, and all they know about Nazi Germany is that they are bad and fascist, and that fascism is when government does bad thing. THAT is why when you ask most people what a fascist is they can't give you a real definition-they don't know, they just know it's bad and authoritarian.
