     I know this is trying to be funny or something, but in all seriousness, there's just no positive way to spin the Pikamee situation. No matter how you look at it boils down to "spiteful, Godless mutants bully cute girl off the Internet over a video game". That gets attention in a way very little else does. :shrug:

     Also, this whole thing is personally evil and spiteful in a way the other examples aren't. The others can be waved off as motivated by greed or other such impulses, this is pure, spiteful malice, exercised entirely because these animals saw a vulnerability and decided to take it.      The community was essentially split into two. On one side, you had the "poltards" who saw Gamergate as a symptom of a larger problem and wanted to continue attacking these issues outside of gaming. On the other, you had the "I just want to play video games" libertarians from /v/ who considered the battle "won" and went right back to their old shitty selves. The latter group was inevitably infested with non-whites and trannies, something the former warned them about. Obviously, as we see today, the poltards were completely right.

With the other things, apathy and the programming one gets as a normie can help the system keep outrage in check. This though, it's clear cut, the tranny agenda has hurt them, maybe in some cases it's given them the context they need to realize it's the same thing that's hurt them plenty times before, and they're rightously pissed about it.
