     @ItsSkyDragonz TBH you can really reduce it being “likable”. If you wanna put in the work then come up with mini ‘routines’ like a comic. Be able to put out like, 15 minutes of charm. Practice conversation, think about what sounds weird to you and try to avoid that.

     Then once you’re dealing with people IORL you just gotta keep your cool - I advise young dudes build mastery in something because it gets them into the zone of having confidence, being on top and in control of a social dynamic. Once you feel that in one area it’s easier to attain elsewhere. Then it’s a matter of bringing that bearing out when you want to appear favorable to women. They like confidence but they can’t quantify it, they want charm but they don’t know what it means.

     Confidence could be party summed by “makes me feel like a kid when I’m next to him”, and charm could be “everyone wants him to come to dinner so it’ll be fun (and it’s gonna be boring if he doesn’t)”

     @ItsSkyDragonz Whatever skills you got already, refine to the point of teaching others. If you have an extended family, teach there. If you have volunteer groups, or activities, get into that scene too. I just lucked into it because there’d be offers from people doing my normal activities, like getting with our MTB group to do trailbuilding and then helping out in event organization, which then put me rubbing elbows to take on a bigger overseer role and be the guy running the show.

     It’s always a domino effect, you take one step and then people see something in you and offer you another rung upward. And the teaching isn’t to meet girls, it’s to feel like a grown up man who can manage a room and command it. It’s hard to put into words, it’s like there’s a wifi network humans read, and there’re just some guys who come in that immediately come across as “oh cool, I’ll listen to this dude.

     Kinda helps if you have a paternalistic, seen-it-all-before attitude about things, maybe even a little condescending, like everyone’s a kid compared to you. Helps when you just smile and chuckle at their antics, chicks like that because they always crack that pleading laugh-smile and ask “what? WHAT? AH!”

     @ItsSkyDragonz I think guns are packed. If you’re willing to deal with kids, could always try signing up to substitute teach. Lets you get accustomed to managing a room and being a grown up, also lets you know if you’re giving off creepy vibes because the women interviewing won’t let you through the process if you are

     @ItsSkyDragonz Assuming you’re solo. If you have family then teach the kids. Grab some BB guns and teach them the basics then move upwards from there. If nothing else you could always get into something handy like welding, or do those 3-month EMT courses so you can get some fun horror stories to use as icebreakers.

     Maybe other guys here have more lines on small, self-contained certifications like that. There’re some jobs that take very little time to get into that are only gatekept with like, 30 hours of training.

     @ItsSkyDragonz Then again I’m colored by this because I’ve dated too many teachers and they whine that the schools are dying for men to show up for some diversity of their own (because we innately manage kids better, they respect us, and we tend to be the ‘fun’ ones they engage with) so maybe I think it’s a bit rosier than it is in reality.

     But it is a good way to hone your crowdwork and practice riffing. If you can make people consistently laugh with a handful of stories you’ve picked up along the way, you’re well on your way to being the “oh shit is danny coming tonight? Okay, I’ll come then” guy

     Hell, bert kreischer has ONE story and he made a career out of it
