     @greg @CDuBois Dubya directly benefited from 9/11, though. He went from a laughingstock to a "wartime president" and enjoyed Putin-like approval numbers, for a time. The Chicoms received no benefit from COVID. Their economy will probably never recover and everyone hates them now.
     
     In my opinion, this was just classic Chinese incompetence. They were likely developing a targeted ethnicity bioweapon and one of the precursors slipped out and then spread like wildfire in the impoverished third world hellhole that is Wuhan.

If the Chicoms were going to unleash a bioweapon on the world, they wouldn't start off by killing a fuckton of their own people and destroying their own economy in the process. At the very least they'd put it in a container of some kind and buy a plane ticket to New York or LA and unleash it there.

     @caekislove @greg @CDuBois I actually buy into their fatalities a bit given how atrocious the air quality can be combined with the smoking habits of the average guy in China. Wouldn’t be surprised if it increased fatality by 60% compared to simple obesity
