Knives out.
Good analysis of why Biden might not drop out.

Yeah, it's not that they matter on their own, but what they indicate.
-
@p @SilverDeth Mmm yeah I see what you're saying.
Most of the really politically active types here are government dorks that move here, work for a few years and peace out. Wash and repeat.
So I think it's more indicative of the establishment, same with northern Virginia which is worth paying attention to if you want to meter that.

@p @SilverDeth It doesn't matter in DC, the district is basically disenfranchised. Even local elections are pretty pointless as every bill has to go through the House of Representatives.
-
@p @judgedread I think a lot of yankee midwit neo-con (tribesmen) pundits just can't let her go.
-
@SilverDeth @judgedread She won the DC primary; Biden won DC with 85% of the vote. I don't even think he got 85% in New York or San Francisco. DC elections are kind of pathological, but they're a good indicator of what the establishment wants to see.
-
@judgedread This is kind of tangential, but why are they still covering Haley? Why's she in a headline?

Yeah, I'm surprised 15% of that city voted for Trump.

Ha, who was that guy that was fedposting and his IP was from that town that has nothing but, like, 600 people and a CIA or NSA datacenter? I forget the details.
-
@p Because Haley is a Mike Pence snake in the grass and they'd love it if she got a cabinet post where she could shiv Trump at an opportune moment.
-
@judgedread I'm sure they would but I don't think there's a chance. She seems like she's doing it out of ego (and probably in preparation for 2028), so it'd be a horrible combination of the press wanting something that will never happen and a politician wanting the same thing, almost always a bad sign.
-
@ins0mniak @p Dread has suggested I moderate my "power levels" on multiple occasions. I try to listen. But sometimes, clown-world gets the old potato-nigger blood boiling beyond my ability to GAF.
-
@SilverDeth @ins0mniak I don't know, unless you're threatening Sheriff Chitwood or you are Torswats, I don't think just regular beliefs need flattening. Like, if anything, it's the internet: just push it a little past where you think it should be and see what people say, this is where you can do that. Maybe someone objects, you follow the chain of logic, you end up somewhere interesting, or maybe you have an interesting thought due to the process of writing it, it's difficult to think really hard about something and not find some holes. Or, like...you hang out in the well-read parts and someone will ask if you got it from some philosopher's book, and then you have now heard of a book that might be of interest.
I mean, the critical thing about fedposting is that it's plans, it's concrete and actionable, that's the shit that will get people in trouble. Beyond that, worst that happens is you're on some kinda list. I'm pretty sure everyone that is on fedi is on some kinda list.
Also if you would like to kidnap a governor, my friends and I have this plan to kidnap all of the governors.

@p @SilverDeth Yeah but he was encouraging people to write to hardcore neo-nazis in prison for serious shit, like bombings and such.
"send a Christmas card to our P.O.W's" and then post federal prison addresses.
But yeah his cars and his airplanes lol

> Most of the maga hat wearers I see are black people around here.
Might just be that only Nixon could go to China; town like that, I imagine everyone else is worried they'll look like one thing or another.
> Oh yeah, lol. I started thinking it was Wir, who was 100 a fed or suffering from wetbrain. but I can't remember.
Ha, nah, nah, this was a guy that was way over the top, got banned, I don't know if you were present for this. WIR was weird, man, like he would post about what he was doing with a photo that had a hundred hits on Tineye.
-
@p @SilverDeth
>Yeah, I'm surprised 15% of that city voted for Trump
Yeah he's pretty popular with black people these days, I would expect that number to go up. Most of the maga hat wearers I see are black people around here.
Oh yeah, lol. I started thinking it was Wir, who was 100 a fed or suffering from wetbrain. but I can't remember.

@p @epictittus @judgedread Sometimes backing up your mutuals has a price tag attached. I willingly pay, and move on with life.
-
@SilverDeth @epictittus @judgedread Yeah, it happens. Doesn't irk me until people start taking advantage of the defederation to make shit up. It offends (triggers) my sensibilities (autism).
-
@p @SilverDeth @judgedread Did someone reply whos defederated?
-
@epictittus @SilverDeth @judgedread Yeah, there was some big thing that happened at Paost a month or two back.
