I am planning on learning Live2d to do my first 2d model, I am however planning on animating a full head turnaround and mawarikomi shot to get confidence and spacial skill to conceptualize what I want.
How does animation blend into Live2d if any does? -

i do have a song with lyrics as a wip on my desktop, but i forgot how the rhythm of it goes, and i don't want to sing
and i guess i should design a more serious stream layout as well... maybe a cave-like frame for the panels and stuff
i can do a simple powerpoint slide for my reredebut and do the usual hobbies and introductions shebang
a simple showcase of my model shouldn't be too hard either, i can compare my old models compared to my new one -

i don't design my characters thinking about how geometrically consistent they are in euclidean space, i just fuck with the hair and see what looks unique and cool -

that being said, i'm going to draw the parts tomorrow, because it's already been tedious getting all the stuff looking properly shaped for the artmeshes and eventual parameter and deformer riggings -

ninja8tyu (ninja8tyu@varishangout.net)'s status on Tuesday, 25-Jun-2024 10:34:06 JST ninja8tyu when it comes to the hiyori model (neuro's og model), it seems like some of the shading and details are kinda sharp if you pay attention to it, but it's subtle enough and covered by things so it doesn't matter too much
seems like the collarbone to shoulder movement areas are separated from the main body for movement
the jaw also moves slightly when the mouth moves as well, which is a nice detail
seems like shading is used very sparingly and the artmeshes (textures, the actual art) aren't typically shaded, aside from the clothing and stuff that don't move as much (unless you wanted to go the extra mile)
the hair textures seem to be generally separated by front-side-back (+ponytails/misc hair), layered from top to bottom side-front-back
this isn't the most high quality model, but it's better than anything of mineluithe likes this. -
