@Humpleupagus @aral @gnarley_boot @Zergling_man Also take note of how many of those "Rust alternatives" to commonly used CLI utilities just so happen to be lincensed under MIT or some other cuck license while the original tool is under GPL.

I think there's a few large players that see linux as a threat to their market share in the consumer markets. While only about 4% of consumers use linux, that's up 1% in about a year and my bet is that most of those users are under 30. If they lose the demographic, they lose the future of their OS businesses, and the information / data pipeline it produces. So I wouldn't be surprised if corporate glowniggers are sticking their hands in linux development and the propaganda behind it, and particularly in the consumer end of it (let's not start a redhat system d thread). I mean... why wouldn't they? And licensing is just one aspect.
Plus I've heard no compelling argument for wayland tbh, and x11 works and is well documented.
