@admin Also Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Platoon, Back to School, The Fly, Little Shop of Horrors, F/X (very underrated), Flight of the Navigator and House.
87 wasn't bad, it had Robocop, Predator, The Untouchables, Full Metal Jacket, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Evil Dead 2 and Lethal Weapon. -

@Jdogg247 Never saw that one. Club Paradise was one of those summer of ‘86 movies. Between Karate Kid 2, Top Gun, Aliens, Ferris Bueller, Howard The Duck, and Friday the 13th: Jason Lives, I just never got around to seeing that one. :shrug3:
1986 was America’s last great year. The end of our Indian summer. Literally it’s been a descent to hell ever since. -

How could anyone forget? Can't count how many times I've seen it. Great story. Great acting. Kenny Blankenship likes this. -

That explains a lot now as a viewer. -

@mothersmurfer The dirty secret is that Carrie Fisher was friends with Lucas long before Star Wars so most likely no one else was even considered, which is why the third member of the other trio - Katt and Russell's Leia - is never discussed. -

@admin Greatest American Hero was a preview of the modern superhero era, early example of making that tricky genre work with the right combination of action and comedy.
William Katt was almost cast as Luke Skywalker. Kurt Russell would have been Han, not sure who Leia was going to be. -

@judgedread @admin I wish they had gotten someone pretty to be Leia. -

@judgedread I could never forget House. Starring William Katt of Greatest American Hero fame, and Bull from Night Court. Very very underrated comedy/horror flick. -

@DMA You can see her cocaine nail in one shot.
Cokeheads used to (and may still...) keep one fingernail long for scooping up and snorting coke. When Carrie puts her hand on Han's shoulder in Jedi you can see it.
