i'm literally going to call you a chaser and scream online about how anyone attracted to me is a perverted bigot and then whine about how I have no friends :(
The only reason you find interesting ones on this side of the fedi is because chances are, they also got shoved out of the hivemind community because the trans community is the biggest hivemind online (and genuinely dangerous).
I say dangerous because a former friend of mine who was genuinely fucked in the head and drinking every single day thought "HRT will fix me". A few months later said person was institutionalized and extremely paranoid about being "clocked". A few years before that, someone else I know who came out as trans also didn't decide to go down that path for years and was absolutely ranting to me about how predatory the community was to people like that, because of someone who decided "I'm trans", started HRT, and had breakdowns daily afterwards. In their words, HRT can induce dysphoria if you didn't have it before and nobody will tell you this.
@MischievousTomato@FrailLeaf yeah maybe if i looked in the right places i'd find more cool ones, most of the ones i see are twitter nutjobs which kinda spoils the bunch.
A lot of these pill mills downplay the side effects and all, you basically go in on a "you know why you're here" basis and you get HRT. Then after serious physical changes, the community acts like "heh he didn't know LMAO".
The community harassing some FtM a while back for making a video regretting it is a good example. The hormones also change your thought process in the sense that it's called a "second puberty" by many, but at the same time some of those taking it do like what a friend told me getting high on DXM is like; you pretend you're getting high like a stoner when the drugs don't kick in...and then they kick in.
@PhenomX6@FrailLeaf@pettanko wew. the hrt thing makes sense. if you dont have the dysphoria, the hormones will change your way of thiking and that can end up with the thing in the first place.
There was a scandal a while back about how a detransistion subreddit nearly got banned by Reddit; because the powermods and AHS are run by trans community members. This happened around the time Reddit was jannying T_D, gendercritical, and others, and of course had ties to infamous powermod bardfinn: https://twitter.com/lacroicsz/status/1288947357393059840
Of course, talking about it on Reddit is fucking stupid IMO, especially when you see how jannied subreddits are with COVID, but the goal is to simple, to make sure these people don't exist so they can tell people regret is rare.

that's disgusting. jesus christ.

wew. Also, the community harassing someone who regrets it, jesus.
@PhenomX6@FrailLeaf@pettanko my god. yeah reddit is fucking awful with shit like this. What happens when someone regrets it though, like, do they just tell em they are wrong? Absolutely no heart for those who regret it.
Which is what the community does to people who make them look bad like Chris Chan because the problem is saying Chris Chan isn't trans is an attack on the ideology and mindset and is a slippery slope.
Let me explain; basically if you think Chris Chan is faking being trans, to the community it could mean anyone is faking it. Which is why there's a flamewar about Chrises pronouns.
So the community will sweep the issues under the rug and change the topic if you mention them.
@PhenomX6@FrailLeaf@pettanko > Which is what the community does to people who make them look bad like Chris Chan because the problem is saying Chris Chan isn't trans is an attack on the ideology and mindset and is a slippery slope. ill be honest i dont get the last part regarding "because the problem is saying Chris Chan isn't trans is an attack on the ideology and mindset and is a slippery slope." my god i feel retarded what do you mean
I've seen edgelords on DRC and the like say this multiple times; that they didn't have an issue with the community until they ran into the shitty members of it nonstop.
It doesn't help that being trans nowadays has an association with a very specific brand of politics as well, or being a washed up nerd whose success are far behind them, or calling for internet censorship (but only for people I dislike).
@theorytoe@PhenomX6@FrailLeaf@pettanko yeah, it ruins lives. I have no issue with correcting their gender but doing this, when someone regrets it (because maybe it wasnt for em) is just cruel
It kinda is for bringing younger members in however; as parents begin to catch on the pushback grows. All custody battle losses and shit like making California a sanctuary state do is push angry parents and whatnot harder into doing something.
@PhenomX6@theorytoe@FrailLeaf@pettanko yup. the big reason people dont like trannies is because: 1. they act like annoying people 2. are ugly 3. do politically annoying shit
@PhenomX6@FrailLeaf@pettanko@theorytoe coincidentally, the ones that are chill/enjoyable people also tend to be the ones that are hot, cute or both too.
@PhenomX6@theorytoe@FrailLeaf@pettanko i'd say there's a correlation between being an enjoyable person and being attractive physically. now, i doubt many would call me enjoyable 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@MischievousTomato@PhenomX6@FrailLeaf@pettanko for me the only major reason why I am heavily against the transgender ""ideaology"" is that most transitioned people are kids (at least from what I see alot), and they cant possibly have enough life and intellectual experience to make a decision like that. I would even argue that ""gender dysphoria"" is caused in majority by the push of the lqbtqia+ movement. I aint gonna hate on em for their choice, because in the end they are people. I will just stand firm on my ideas (and apparently thats hate most of the time but whatever)
@theorytoe@PhenomX6@FrailLeaf@pettanko i agree with the kids thing. I don't think kids should be near that. Additional stuff that could confuse a child and end up messing their later life. Adults and such, yeah they can do it. In the end the result is a lottery but hey, the tech gets better.
@theorytoe@PhenomX6@FrailLeaf@pettanko Aside from the predatory stuff, I don't mind if adults transition because whatever as long as you don't hurt anyone else do what you want
@PhenomX6@MischievousTomato@FrailLeaf@pettanko that too it honestly takes advantage of people, alters them beyond reversal, and pretty much leaves them in the dust. I honestly dont think thats a great thing to do with anyone
The trans "community" (reddit/twitter/discord) will go out of its way to fuck with you as a trans person if you aren't particularly interested in talking to minors about gender. They'll completely drop the pronoun respecting act
The trans "community" will actually harass you to the point of suicide or straight up fucking murder you if you decide you don't actually want to be a political footsoldier and desire to live a relatively normal life.
