@King_Noticer@GinNig@wan No, no, no! it's "the Glass Maker has planned that all men and women are paired in a snow globe while the shop is open and/or while the shop is closed for eternal rest." You will get that waifu, in Christ.
@GinNig@wan We shouldn't underestimate the power of observation and divine revelation. It's like looking at and in snow globes with very pretty scenes you'd want to join. You see and hear what they are experiencing and you can also use reason to guess what they might be experiences There's one snow globe just for you, but you cannot enter until the Glass Maker puts you in there. Until then, you can only look from the outside what the Maker plans for you. The Maker left a manual for snow globe making that shows what the experience will be like. From all that, you can know what is supposed to be there in your own globe, but that is not the same value as experiencing that joy first hand.
t. Someone looking wistfully and achingly from the outside in for a very long time
@wan I am amazed that Tolkien, a very pious Catholic, would get this antsy and giddy about elf marital sex. :senkowow2:
Then again, he loved marriage and being married to Edith and extolled marriage in his legendarium far better than Catholic theologians extol marriage in their theology. :senkoHmm:
@SuperSnekFriend@wan how might an unmarried understand a loving marriage in anything but through a lens of hypothesis as it is not known and experienced? particularly, how can it compare to one who loves the experience?
@King_Noticer@SuperSnekFriend@wan I'm going to say the thing that is unsatisfying and annoying: You gotta learn to love yourself. It takes a while, but you can't love others decently until you love yourself
