     But doesn't matter because it doesn't add up to a hill of beans in real value

     Guy I knew got a one fucking dollar an hour raise after helping the boss through Covid, partially by not asking for a raise, and meanwhile Boomer Boss is showing off his new GT500 and pics of his 7 figure lake house.
     
     As a machinist.
     
     My "big break" last year ended because I wouldn't work unpaid overtime which in effect dropped my per hour rate to 15 an hour. I had moved states away for this opportunity.
     
     Oh, and it was...Christmas!
     
     Same company lost hundreds of thousands in penalties and unpaid work (!!!) to their dumb nigger foreman, and one of their 6 foremen was through a temp agency, because, as an illegal immigrant, it wasn't legal to hire him.
     
     I was apprenticing for a 30 dollar an hour position eventually, and yet I got paid like 1.50/per more than Green High Schooler Kid.
     
     This was in a town where they were DESPERATE for workers, too.
     
     That's ok though,, just treat me like shit & bait and switch me. Bet they whined when I left!
