@mint@r000t@mrsaturday the most profane part of the internet I've ever seen was a twitch troll discord group, they'd harass random streamers trying to slip pornography or nigger words to get them banned, and harass random discords with spam, gore and disgusting fetish porn. When things are quiet they troll each other by sharing the most grotesque media imaginable e.g. gif of a penis getting pierced by 10 needles.
This place is also the origin of "twist niggers heads off roundhouse kick niggers into the pavement slam dunk a nigger baby into the trashcan slice niggers with a katana"
There was this dude named celaeon who would record Twitch raids (before he was jannied by YT after being targeted by another clique, namely the "fake fedora redditor" accounts") and one of the common tropes was stealing the stream key or baiting the streamer into watching porn and then hitting report.
There was just a different type of shock, back in the day it was "pranking stupid kids online into deleting System32 and microwaving their PC" instead of "sending people borderline illegal content".
@PurpCat@latein@r000t@mint There was a Youtube troll that went from putting out raid videos on CS:S prison servers to wiping out Twitch streamers' Steam accounts by getting their email from their Amazon wishlist links, putting in a password reset request phone call knowing their phones were loud enough for the microphone to pick up the code, and then using their email to get into their Steam account and empty their library. I wanna say he got arrested for trolling too hard at some point
@mrsaturday@latein@r000t@mint the pranknet/pranku guys flew too close to the sun, that whole saga was a trip from a lulzsec style rat to the head guy behind it going into hiding after he was doxed and found IRL by journalists.
Said group was doing some rather extreme shit back in the day with social engineering (pretending you're corporate), like making restaurants and hotels pull sprinklers and smash windows and the employees getting naked without asking questions.
