   I mean if mastodon IS doing heavy botting for promotional purposes that's effectively heaven-banning isn't it? Would be interesting to do an analysis to see what's up.

     @Binkle they don't come into contact with us due to fedi block so that counts in my book.
     
     Speaking of, most mastodon instances blocked journa.host for being corporate bootlickers and yet it has tons of traffic supposedly. Doesn't make sense. It's trivial to spin up fake instances like we saw with the misskey exploit a week ago.
