@Ronnie21093@MoeBritannica From comments I've seen, in the LN the main guy and girl eventually get into a relationship but they then choose "muh career" over their relationship, and I think their relationship was abusive?, though they do get together eventually long after high school.
@poopernova@MoeBritannica@Ronnie21093 Man, why does shit like this always happen. I seem to notice this too with a lot of manga and LNs, either they cannot end which just leads to the author rambling on with a story that escalates in problems with worse and worse writing until the publisher finally cancels their series, or they end in the worst way possible, like just ending on the spot because exactly one problem was resolved and the author is out of ideas for anything else.
It happened with Haganai. Thankfully the author used the manga adaptation to fix the bullshit from the LN. Like completely dropping the relationship drama with the reverse trap and garbage ending.
@Tamamo@Iffine@MoeBritannica@poopernova You know, kind of makes me happy that Nagatoro is ending soon. Sure, I'd like to see more of them together, but I'd rather not have the series drag on needlessly :akko_tired:
There's the sports festival arc that drags on for 3 fucking volumes and in the end NOTHING changed. It was like practically filler. What pissed everyone off was the ending. It was pretty much a massive fuck you to the reader.
@Tamamo@Iffine@MoeBritannica@poopernova Wait, seriously? I never watched it, but when it was airing, I remember seeing thousands of posts about that anime, so to hear that the manga apparently ended the author's career is hilarious :guraKekw:
@Ronnie21093@Iffine@MoeBritannica@poopernova The entire series Hana and the MC are tsundere as hell for each other. But in the end the MC decides to chase after Chiyo afterall (who barely gets any character development). Same really retarded shit happens, Chiyo ends up hating his guts. Then Chiyo becomes the next president and throes the guys in back in jail.
At some point the 3 side characters get together with a girl. But again retarded shit happens and they end up alone and in jail.
Basically all character development was thrown out of the window and the series ends where it started.
@Ronnie21093@Iffine@MoeBritannica@poopernova Rumors has it that the author was displeased that Prison School was his most popular work over his past stuff so he did it as a fuck you.
