   As someone who spends a surprising amount of time at ewaste/junk shops:

   non-bluetooth wireless keyboards should be banned for environmental reasons.

     USB is a standard!
     Bluetooth is a standard!

     Just because they don't feel like using either of thus DOESN'T MEAN THEY SHOULD MAKE DIRECT-TO-LANDFILL ELECTRONICS

     @foone eh i guess computers had to be proprietary- too bad it couldn't work like the Videonics DirectED's RF control wands. At least logitech was thinking ahead.

     @SnepperStepper Logitech has one. It's "universal" across all their keyboards.

     a USB/BT keyboard can be reused! Clean it up and even keyboards that are 25 years old will work fine.

     an RF wireless keyboard has inevitably lost the dongle and is now just taking up space in a landfill as they're no use to anyone.
