     @givenup @Curvin @nugger Check for faint stamps, if american it might have a proof (p in a circle) or some initials.

     I'd doubt there's anything but that's the low hanging fruit. If gramps got rid of it and replaced it w/ another wood one this might be some aftermarket replacement, OR some of that korean rubberwood they used for a time. Not too uncommon for people to try and correct them to look the way they did off the rack.

     Not a bad thing to have, nifty having a spare if you got old greased stocks
