     @mint @BlinkRape idk when it reached prominence, but it's been circulating in my circles for like a year at this point, and the general sense that ohio is where cursed shit happens and that you don't ever want to end up there has been around a lot longer than that (granted, I'm a michigander so I'm more than a bit biased in this respect)

     @pomstan @BlinkRape @errante @mint Roma are endemic to most of the Balkans so I think the comparison holds regardless (especially once you get into the non Dracula related stereotypes that Romanians have in the anglosphere)
