   @Ahabnova @sun I don’t think it’s the political so much as the practical.

   Chinese speakers primarily make content for Chinese speakers. English speakers the same.

   Imagine how hard it is to find an American who LOVES Amish quilting so much, he is going to learn Chinese and start a Chinese language channel to teach Chinese people about the greatness of Amish quilting.

   That’s what someone is asking for when they are expecting someone from China to teach them about small culture.

     @Ahabnova @sun More normally, the bridge to small culture should be people who go to China to learn about China.

     It’s true that Internet regulations make it difficult to produce content on foreign channels from within China, but anyone who REALLY wants to do it can learn to use VPN and publish to the world.

     The problem is there just aren’t many people outside China who are curious about small culture in China.
