     Development of it took so long because that hack of a dev spent so long listening to reddit and twitter on ways he could patch his precious OC getting exploited instead of making him and the deep dark fun, it's actually comical how childish the whole thing is.

     The trailers all made it seem like something you'd actively have to be wary of in the caves, but no it's just a joke of a "boss" that doesn't have anything worthwhile anywhere near it. Even with the fucker's best efforts to stop cheese, you can still just dig a hole and rely on good ol' punch and run. :cirno_laugh2:

     @Meemoo @luithe The fact it took them 3 updates (which they also spent a decent chunk of time hyping the fucker up) only to release it in an update that was as mediocre as some of the updates they were releasing pre-1.13 is fuckin stupid.
     
     1.19 is comparable to 1.10 or 1.11 in terms of how ungodly boring its changes are.
     
     It gave us a shitty biome, an underground structure that doesn't contain anything useful or rewarding and a garbage mob that was delayed a ton and "wasn't meant to be killed".
