   Longer than that, the jury-rigging started after stagflation in the 70s. Removing things as small but basic as canned tomatoes and vegetable oil shows how desperate they are to cook (heh) the inflation statistics because of the last 5 years.

     @Gundog I am referring to throwing electronic devices into the mix as those constantly dropped in price from 1946-present. Longer if Kurzweil is to be believed.
