   It is true they just updated it in january though, which does activate the almonds.

   I’m saying I do not see the claimed change to lethality. The relevant section starts on page 27 in the old doc, and the chart is on page 3 of the new doc.

   The new doc says 100000-300000ppm acute exposure causes death. This matches with the old doc

   Brief exposures to concentrations of vinyl chloride ranging from 100,000 to 400,000 ppm have been shown to be fatal in experimental animals such as rats (Lester et al. 1963; Mastromatteo et al. 1960; Prodan et al. 1975), guinea pigs (Mastromatteo et al. 1960; Patty et al. 1930; Prodan et al. 1975), mice (Mastromatteo et al. 1960; Prodan et al. 1975), and rabbits (Prodan et al. 1975). At these concentrations, deaths occurred within 30–60 minutes.

     @ademan @milk It’s an unfortunate fact that the people w/ the autismo-skills and the free time to pursue stuff like this don’t always get it right on the first pass.

     We really do need to make sure we fact check our own, just to maintain a high standard of credibility.

     Normies are taught to look for any reason to continue their current thought patterns. Everything they know tells them to "not believe the bad people that think bad thoughts."
     
     The moment the bad think can objectively be shown as false, they're in a worse place than if they'd never been exposed to anything at all.
     
     "No, remember when the racists were wrong about (X)? Can't trust anything they say."

     @purvispisgah @ademan @milk Yeah, particularly when there’s such opportunity. We aren’t dying for material, but I want to give my close people high-quality intel that will stand the test of time. I won’t go all-in on anything and I’ll give a measured, probable outcome instead of the crazy, flashy headline everyone wants to get.

     we don’t have the benefit of well funded institutions to ground us, so the best I can do is look into it (to the best of my limited abilities) when I have the time and interest.
