Slept 12 hours yesterday and still feel tired and retarded. I feel hung over and I didn't even drink. If going back to fasting and drinking water don't work I'm fucked. Hope i don't have something bad going on. - Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this.

Maybe you're fighing something, that can account for it too. A little ragged today so your immune system can prevent an infection tomorrow.
I don't like always jumping to the diagnosis off the bat, people really go binary w/ their health when they're a workin' man. It's either 100% or cancer/dead in 6 months. Plenty of room between those things. Make sure you've got the right combo of vitamins, you're hydrated, and see if you don't have a little bit of a fever to round off the basics. If you've got a vice you indulge in every day then think about if you've slipped up or throttled back lately, that's good for some "I feel like shit" cases, too. Easy to get in the groove and not realize you've missed an essential dosage of X and are trailblazing your body's behavior into the world of withdrawals

I went through a breakup with a crazy stalker who was running me ragged but she's been gone for a little while now. I also had to take pain medicine for an old leg injury. Only for a couple days and it's been a week since but you're hopefully right. My body might still be righting itself. I'll keep fighting and remain optimistic. Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

DO keep some notes, grab one of those day planners or calendar books just to be sure. Helps to see trends over time on the off chance it IS something, but usually doing those things cures a whole lot of middling ills.
I once worked w/ a doc who used to do this fun "prescribed sleep" thing with his patients when they'd start getting rough. He'd walk them through establishing a clean room, no distractions, lights, blackout curtains, the whole 9 yards, all to make sure they'd be able to catch up on rest. There's all kinds of numbers as to how much debt we've got, I think the last I heard was 35 hours? If you can get a good week of 1 extra hour that may help.
If you're taking narcs and feeling shitty off them you can taper them off, cold turkey is cool and all but sometimes people like the suffering for suffering's sake instead of just tapering it off and cutting down pills to a fraction as they stop it.

I think my expectations are too high without giving enough time, which adds to the stress. I did stop the narcs cold turkey. Figured only taking a couple wouldn't get it's hooks in. I'll take half of one and try to relax. I'll try to not feel like I'm failing or letting family down. Not joking, your insight has already gave me some hope. I need to not think of how full my plate is at least until I get better. Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

Back in the day there used to be the concept of working your way UP to an effective dose, instead of shotgunning people all the time. I once worked with a VERY old school 60's guy I learned a lot from. One of his things was that he would rather his people recover from outpatient surgery take a min. effective dose and work their way up to it rather than just take a full gram of percs every 6 hours like the "pain management" faggots do.
It's not bad to be too worried, but the body is a great machine. It's more resilient and adaptable than we give it credit for!

I'm proud to have will power but the cold turkey is probably a good portion if not all of what's going on. I almost didn't post this and now I'm glad I did. No reason for humility when I legit want help. Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

The whole industry is really quite demonic, the whole commodification of "pain" in order to turn it into an industry is foul. Seemed like the good people would get a magnum dose just to start, and then they'd go hardline strict and cut them off without any tapering at all. As if they wanted to create middle class addicts, brutla stuff.
