   1) what? You're saying that Youtube's decade+ long lack of a proper license filter is a result of youtube imitating a program that didn't exist when the decision to exclude that filter was made. That's nonsense.

   2) Youtube *does* have a filter by license, it's just useless. Your option is "CC-BY" or "Youtube Standard license" and that's it.

   And CC-BY material still doesn't come with a DOWNLOAD button, so what's the point?

   It's not a good license filter, but it does exist.
