   @MartinJJ The load was properly secured with ratchet straps, and flagged, sitting 2 metres past the tailgate. Totally legal in my part of the world. And trucks are pretty much what everyone drives around here. I've used it a hundred times or more for various home projects, including hauling literally tons of gravel, rock, sand, dirt, and building materials. And it took me and my wife on a 14000 km cross-country road trip last summer. Trucks are an indispensable part of life.
