   @WashedOutGundamPilot @doctorsex @mkultra Dawn of War was a cool game when it first came out for the quality of the voice overs, the detailed animations of recruiting units (dropping from orbit, summoned from hell, etc), and the novelty of the setting.
   
   The wiki is enjoyable to peruse for the kind of obscure backstory you only get from a 30+ year old franchise.
   
   I still like the setting personally, but mostly the older stuff in terms of the setting and in real life.
   
   The recent LOTR series was garbage, for instance, but the original films and novel are still good regardless.
