   @d0c40r0 @GabeLakmann haha, this is the exact thing. The second you mention pretty much any small aircraft or LSA he’ll start telling you about how crazy everyone is to just happily put up with the plainest contact surfaces for your controls. I’ve heard the same fevered rant at least 3 times by now, it’s always funny.

   I don’t even totally disagree, but it’s easy enough to fix. Just find a nice, comfy joystick and slap it on there. They only look bad because boomers build the kit as-is without understanding that it’s unpolished to allow customization.

   There’s a cool HUD system I saw the other day, has a nice control stick w/ AP, trim, radio on the hat, with controls for slaving HSI. Probably not worth the $10k retrofit but very cool to look at
