   @utopify_org there are a lot of ways to avoid tilling. One I'm experimenting with is planting directly into composted straw bales. Another is raised beds.
   
   Permaculture is more focused on perennial plants and building a coherent system that more or less sustains itself. A goal of mine as well because I can't expect I'll be able to do everything I do now forever.
   
   As far as solar goes, the resources used to build panels and store the energy are insane. I would like to see more exploration into other energy harvesting but that's a completely different discussion
