   If glocks weren’t perfect then why is every single manufacturer copying their recipe though? They’re a boring appliance, but it’s basically impossible to argue with the success when everything that strays from the path glock trailblazed is sold as “hey look it’s NOT like a glock isn’t that cool?”

   If anything was genuinely better it would have been supplanted by now. Glocks are just too damn boring for an industry built solely on hyperconsumerism. The fact is, they’re such a good gun that the industry has had to cope with their boring soul with a mountain of unnecessary customization.

   As far as products go, Glock’s probably the greatest incident of See problem -> Solve problem we’ve seen in the last 100 years. It’s amazing.

   But it’s boring.
