@theorytoe interval training is the best way to teach your body. that can look something like running hard for 30 seconds, resting for 60, repeat. and by "resting" i mean walking/jogging, don't quit all the way or else the lactic acid will build up in your muscles. if you do something like that for short distances or durations it'll help a lot, i do short runs twice a week and then one distance run on saturdays. pictured: my tuesday interval routine.
