Along the left side are line numbers that count the number of nucleotides, starting at: 1 61 121 181 241 … 1201 1281 1341 1281 counted the wrong number of bases. There should be 1261.

   michael crichton loved creating these tables on his Macintosh, and it is extremely likely that he is responsible for the error.
