@GabeLakmann yaw is the motion around the vertical axis, so any ‘wagging’ motion is yaw, which can end up in a repeating oscillation depending on the plane’s design. Lots of thought goes into making something fit for purpose. for most civ aircraft you want something nice and easy, so they tend to balance out pretty easy.
The only time I can think of experiencing full on dutch roll is in a very long-winged, skinny plane built for speed like the Meridian. It would just go from one end to the other until you have it a quick stab of rudder to end the cycle
