Hostile here is You. Internet was invented for information sharing. Fediverse is for federating. If You are afraid of your own thoughts, internet and fediverse isn't a place to post them. Persons like you never post anything interesting anyway, so Internet will not suffer if you disappear.

Btw, yo already are searcheable. I can view all your posts from any mastodon instance just typing your ID into search field. This is how federation works: I can run any activitypub instance (mastodon, pleroma, e.t.c.) and receive all your posts into my database because of federation. If you don't like it - disconnect, it's not for you.
