   @demonofustio @samjayganges @lichelordgodfrey @Gran3Walder Kind of but it didn't really matter, the 262 didn't have the support it needed. Give it the best damn pilot in history and it's still going to get blown up while on final, because it had poor endurance, and the US knew where to find them.

   That's where we get those cool FW190s with the red underbelly, it's their version of invasion stripes. They hardened the 262 fields with AA and lower alt fighters in an effort to protect them, but they were sitting ducks.

   I don't think there's anything you could do to turn the tide there. America's industrial output is ludicrous back then, and our pilots were just shockingly astute at dissecting their opponents and finding their weaknesses.
