   If you want to see a tiny microcosm of how the navy’s doing, just read through their on-the-ground reporting. Ignore the carriers, the SSBN’s are supposed to be the best the navy has…..and they have contractors trying to hammer shit into position while they head out on a no-notice deployment.

   There’s no hidden well of competence that arises in a fight. This body won’t turn it around on a dime and suddenly be well rested, enthused, and intelligent just because they’re taking fire. It’s gonna be an overworked cadre of understaffed competent people beset by half a dozen worthless taskable monkeys hired for diversity’s sake.
