   This is a very small, minor version of this same phenomenon:

   To us it makes sense. Yeah, she wants praise, but she wants the right praise at the right time. What value does it have when she gets a deluge out of the gate? There’s no victory there, no prize. She knows you’ve said the same thing to every other date you’ve been on. She wants to feel like she’s hearing things that no other woman ever has
