   This has come up w/ the olds at work before, and it really only takes some glancing through the catalog to realize most of the "hot girls" doing pinup photography aren't really high-caliber. They're always off, old, haggard, gross, catpee smelling... just weird chicks. It's like looking through the catalog of escorts in a big city: You can see they once were a looker to some degree, but that was years ago when they could still smile.

   What really bothers me is that most of the IRL "pinup" photogs seem to be making pieces that aren't designed to look good to men. They're safe, cheesy, meant to glorify the model without "objectifying" her. Their angles are boring, they never present the aircraft from an interesting, stimulating angle. As if it's a vanity project for some "sex positive" feminist who wants to be sure boys don't like her work "in the wrong way".
